Reflections: On Studio Pedagogy, School of Architecture, 19760 -1982’ by Rahul Mehrotra, 1176

The event will commence by gifting Rahul Mehrotra’s student work at the School of Architecture to CEPT Archives followed by a presentation by Rahul Mehrotra. Reflections is an informal recap and sharing of the issues, concerns, and scalar questions that were used to structure the studio pedagogy between 1976 and 1982 at the CEPT University formerly known as the School of Architecture. The talk will be followed by a moderated panel discussion. The event is organised by CEPT Archives and is open to all.

CEPT Archives in collaboration with FAAA had hosted the display of selected works of Architect Jaimini Mehta, from 15th Feb 2016 to 29th Feb 2016. Jaimini Mehta is a practising architect and an independent academic based in Baroda, India. He studied architecture at M.S. University of Baroda and at University of Pennsylvania in the Louis Kahn Studio,and went on to work in the offices of Louis Kahn and Mitchell/Giurgola Associates in Philadelphia. At present he is a Hon. Director of the Baroda based Centre for the Study of Urbanism and Architecture, which he instituted in 2006. He was an Adjunct Professor at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute at Troy, NY and at CEPT University, Ahmedabad. He has also worked as Head of the Schools of Architecture at Baroda and Goa. The Exhibition was inaugurated by Architect Rahul Mehrotra from Mumbai, India. He is an alumnus of School of Architecture, CEPT University and has been a student of Architect Jaimini Mehta.
