We recently received the signed acquisition Papers from Anahita Spitznagel Doongaji (Daughter of Late Maneck R. Doongaji, who passed away in August 2016, earlier this year). Mr. Khushroo Kalyanwala, Director of the Archives, met up with Anahita at the Maneck Doongaji Consultants Pvt. Ltd. Office near Regal Cinema in Mumbai. Since both his children permanently reside outside India and his daughter Anahita, who is also a practicing architect in Zurich, the family has decided to donate all his work to CEPT Archives. Ar. Maneck Doongaji (a Parsi married to a swiss, Lt. Barbara) now deceased, started independent practice late in life & has a small but interesting body of work which includes work for the Britannia Company in Bangalore. Previous to his independent practice, he worked along with his associate Mr. Soli A. Gilder on interior projects for clients such as The Consulate General of Switzerland, British Airways, Arthur Andersen, Deutsche Bank, Coca-Cola and E. Merck (India) Ltd.
